Grove’s Smart Aquaponic Garden allows consumers to grow food in their home, year round

The food is natural, organic and sustainably grown.  How long will it take before you harvest your first crops?  Grove Labs provides the following time estimates:

  1.  Day 1:  Install your Aquaponic Garden
  2.  Day 3:  Look for sprouts
  3.  Day 7:  See your ecosystem come to life
  4.  Day 18:  Your fish guide delivered
  5.  Day 24:  Buy your fish and put them into the fish tank
  6.  Day 30:  You are learning how food grows
  7.  Day 45:  Harvest your first vegetables
  8.  Day 48:  Share more harvest with friends
  9.  Day 60:  You are now an Urban Farmer

The Key to success:

Monitoring and controling the bacteria with the Grove OS.

Is a $4000 purchase price too high? We think so!

For high income innovators (2.5%) and lead adopters (13.5%), this purchase price is probably not a problem, see the Value Curve below.

But for the early and late majority, representing 68% of the market, this price is probably excessive and Grove Labs will have to focus on reducing cost (see Value Curves below).  Grove Labs has no control over the cost of LEDs but they are dependent on the manufacturers success in driving costs down.
