“We recently trained a team and used the Value Innovation Process® (VIP) at Johns Manville to explore new product opportunities in a demanding insulation application. The VIP was very beneficial at uncovering, and prioritizing, unmet needs for the most important customer in the target end use market. And it does it in a way that provides the data necessary to support project decisions moving forward. As a result, the team has taken the information and is using it like a blueprint to develop a couple of new products for the specific insulation application.
In the near future, we plan to use the VIP on additional projects.”
